Any person entering the international trade and freight forwarding environment for the first time or advancing from foundation to a more advanced level of learning of the freight forwarding environment.

Assessment required for competency.

• Generate shipment cost estimates.
• Apply international trade systems, policies and procedures.
• Identify the responsibilities of a team leader in ensuring that organisational standards are met.
• Perform international trade calculations.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the basics of local and international trade.
• Use mathematics to investigate and monitor the financial aspects of personal, business, national and international issues.
• Identify and classify dangerous goods for transportation.
• Facilitate the forwarding and clearing of dangerous goods for transportation.
• Load/unload dangerous goods for transportation by road.
