This course was created as a brief overview of the intricacies and excitement of the global trade environment. To provide the participant with the necessary foundational knowledge required when entering into the world of trade. This course encompasses basic freight industry terminology, an understanding of how global trade came into existence, and the rules, regulations, and authorities governing global trade.

Who should do this course?
Any person working within the trade environment. Be it importers/exporters of persons within the freight environment. From juniors entering the industry to salespeople, operations, or finance.

  • Freight Forwarding Operation in International Trade.
  • Role of the freight forwarder and clearing agent.
  • Regulatory bodies and trade agreements.
  • Import and Export Processes & Documentation.
  • Explaining local and international trade cycles.
  • Examining international logistics mechanisms.
  • Explaining methods of international payment using foreign currency.
